Regarding fuel additives, I’ve been burned several times by the snake oil salesmen. Lets see…Bio Performance, FFI, Motorlatte to name a couple.
There is one that hit the market earlier this year that been working consistently. It’s called Ferox Fuel tabs. The thing that is different about it is that it is a catalyst that allows more of the fuel burn. It isn’t a detergent like BFI (which screwed up my O2 sensor). I have been seen considerable mileage increases and have been able to stop using purchasing premium fuel for my sports car. For me that is nearly a $5 savings on every fill up!
